"One Hell of a Season: Imps, Pilgrims and Tales of the Unexpected" is a book by Grahame Lloyd which follows the extraordinary progress of Boston United and Lincoln City during the 2002 / 03 season as re-lived through the eyes of the people who ran the two clubs, from the Chairman to the players to the tea ladies.

Boston United were deducted four points for contract irregularities before a ball was kicked and Lincoln City became the first club to go into administration after the ITV Digital fiasco. Other events included an FA inquiry, a bonus dispute, boardroom and budget battles, managerial bust-ups and racist and drunken behaviour, not to mention nerve-wracking performances on the pitch.

Discover how Boston United and Lincoln City not only survived but positively prospered as a mass scouting mission on two rival teams enabled the Pilgrims to secure their place in the Nationwide League and a short-back-and-sides haircut helped to propel the Imps into the Third Division Play-Off Final.

The hardback book has 280 pages and 16 pages of colour photographs and features a foreword by Howard Wilkinson and Graham Taylor.
