Gary Mills Defender (00-01) Somewhat surprisingly, veteran defender Gary Mills signed up with Boston United in November 2000 from King's Lynn. Mills had previously been involved in a very public fall out with Boston manager Steve Evans after a match between Boston and King's Lynn ended in controversy two season's earlier. After half a dozen fairly anonymous but solid performances in the Boston side, Mills left the club to pursue his management ambitions with Dr. Martens League side Tamworth. He later became manager of Notts County. Previously with Nottingham Forest, Derby County, Notts County, Leicester City, Grantham Town, and Gresley Rovers.
