Picture of No6 after the game enjoying a post match pint.
So many people have come and gone, their faces fade as the years go by.
Yet I still recall as I wander on, as clear as the sun in the summer sky.

Fantastic result lads - stood up the the challenge well - and thoroughly deserved the win. And as previously posted....what a tosser no 6!!!!!!!

I was too busy trying to get out of the ground quickly and avoid a queue in the car park to see what went on at the end, though saw the start of it.

Was anyone sent off?

Duffield started the brawl at the end of the match.

I thought he was going to give Cully a post-match hug - but you don't do that with your arm round the other person's throat.  Wish I had filmed it with my phone - but it happened too quickly - and would knowing the way the Retford players and management conducted themselves - I would most probably have been a target!

Very bad losers.

But just before half time - Ellender complained to the Referee for being fouled - and as he left the pitch at halftime - told Duffield to go and have a word with the Ref about the way he was being treated by the Boston players.

Retford United are a disgrace to football.

Well i did give a reminder for those that needed it that Simpkins was the main instigator of much that happened in the first game at YS.Last night only confirmed what i thought. The man is a thug and shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a football pitch-mind you that goes for the majority of their team.....and manager. Also i'm sorry to say that a good deal of the respect i had for Ellender has disappeared over these two games.......

They are a disgrace to football - it was embarrassing for the whole of their club
The poor standard of refs at this level don't help things

Main thing is we stood up the the challenge, got the 3 points and now we must push on to leave little clubs like that behind us

Well done lads!

duffield quote

'I am thinking about putting a picture of the Boston United side up on the board in the dressing room to remind my players what has happened here and to get them fired up for their games."

That means they would have to take this one down

Hello Cappo. Whatever gave you that idea?
Ps. Glad we never had that testimonial game for Ellers.

Fantastic result last night, any respect I had for Duffield when he was here as a player has now gone totally out of the door.

Still 2-1 to Boston, let's hope Retford equalise. Boston are looking a real threat along with Guisley.

I am afraid Ellie at our place was smashing players about off the ball, acting the hard man, trying to pretend he was the player he was, almost. But without being harsh he was never a playmaker, but a scruffy player that did for us what he does for Retford, although a loyal servant.

Im gonna pretend that he wasnt playing for Retford this season and i will remember him for the service in yellow for years before.

His behaviour was very dissapointing.
