Tomorrow's Referee
« on: February 26, 2010, 05:44:27 PM »
is Dave Plowright.  I don't often recognise referees' names from when they have previously officiated us but I do in this case.  I don't know why though, did he do a particularly bad job refereeing one of our games before?

Still shout play on to the players when someone goes down, once bitten and all that
So many people have come and gone, their faces fade as the years go by.
Yet I still recall as I wander on, as clear as the sun in the summer sky.

Yeah me too LCB. The last minute penalty he gave against Leigh was also one of the most disgusting decisions I have ever seen. Really not looking forward to watching him today as it's always about him overshadowing the game with decisions usually going against us.

Apart from some leiniecy toward their players and the rather harsh booking of Milson he did not have a bad game today.
He obviously doesn't always get it wrong.

I have very little respect for the standard of refereeing in this league. I suppose it's considered as a training ground for men in fancy dress to learn their trade but some of them just don't seem to get the message. I still find it absolutely rediculous that a person can be a referee even if he has just landed from another planet and has never played the game him/herself. Todays person in fancy dress may not have had a bad game for most of the time but how the hell can any intelligent person feel that Millson deserved a yellow card for holding a player back by grabbing his shirt and yet only give a free kick and no word of warning to their No 9  in the first half when he went hell for leather along the ground apparently to deliberately cut one of our players in half. What a tosser.
