Wednesday, 9.10am - BOSTON United could welcome wingers Nathan Koranteng and Jamie Yates back to action this weekend… but joint boss Paul Hurst is still eager to add to his ranks before the end of the season.
Teenager Koranteng endeared himself to Pilgrims fans with a two-goal debut as Boston United thrashed Durham City 10-0.

He then turned out in the defeat at Kendal and the victory over Buxton, where he was left battered and bruised following the physical encounter.

But last week Peterborough United recalled the 17-year-old to play in a reserve match, ending his work experience at York Street.

Koranteng, however, could still be available for the Pilgrims as part of the terms of his loan spell at York Street.

"We hope he will still be available if we decide we need him," Hurst said.

Yates returns from his three-match ban, for fighting during the Durham victory. But nevertheless, Hurst and Rob Scott are still keen to add to their ranks for the final promotion push, having asked chairman David Newton for some extra funds for players.

"We asked the question and I wouldn't rule out the fact we may be able to bring someone in," said Hurst.

However, the problem is finding the right man for the job.

He added: "At the moment it's difficult because the players we would like to bring to the club are playing at a higher level.

"What we don't want to do is bring people in for the sake of it. We'll keep looking but it's not an emergency that we get someone."

Refusing to give up on his targets, whom he refuses to name, Hurst reckons that the chance of possible silverware may still be enough to tempt players to York Street.

"Players playing at a higher level may not want to drop down to the UniBond and contracts may also be an issue," he continued.

"But we are in a position where we're trying to achieve something here come the end of the season.

"Maybe that could work for us?"
