Bury FC

Bury FC, expelled from the Football League 6 years ago, are heading back towards the EFL.

They have become champions today of the 9th tier North West Counties League and are promoted to the Northern Premier League First Division (West).

They beat Burscough at home 4-0 with an attendance of 8,719!!

A Bury fan told me it's actually a new club - the old one is still owned by Steve Dale?

The original Bury FC and the new phoenix club Bury AFC merged in 2023. Not before considerable amonosity shown towards the new club by several supporters of the original Bury FC. They felt it would be detrimental to the original club's chances of playing again.
