Was a scrappy and somewhat uninspiring game, this was mostly down to the poor state of the pitch. First half was pretty even with Ashton hitting the post early and having a couple of other decent chances, they also looked very dangerous from set pieces and specifically corners. We also had our moments with Wier-Daley firing straight at the keeper from inside the 6 yard box when you'd put money on him to score.

Second half strangely I thought they where the better side. Again getting lot's of joy from set pieces and also getting good crosses in from both flanks. However it was us that got the goals, the first looked suspiciously like a foul by DD but given the fact we had a valid goal ruled out a couple of weeks ago against Kendal it's swings and roundabouts.

Was the usual physical encounter with the ref letting a lot of challenges go that other refs would blow for. Similar to Buxton we grafted and battled well but our overall performance wasn't good. Still results are king and if the boys can get another 12 results like today I couldn't care less what sort of performance they put in.

Looking at the first picture makes me think our shirts look better tucked into the shorts. If they are left out they resemble nappies and are not aesthetically pleasing. How about a club shirt with a black and amber tie down the front and embroidered cufflinks on the sleaves, after all, as well as being the best behaved team in the league we could also have the best dressed team in the league. ;D ;D

Defo not a neutral but feel free to see the game through an Ashton lens too...

Loving these two
So many people have come and gone, their faces fade as the years go by.
Yet I still recall as I wander on, as clear as the sun in the summer sky.
