Well, that was better.  I thought with a bit of luck we could have got something out of the game. Bozzie looked off the pace, but a half fit Bozzie made the difference in my opinion. Finley Welch looks a very good addition, I hope we can extend his loan beyond a month. Mills is a worry, it looked like he was struggling with injury. I think Hazel needs help up front, he got no protection the centre back was all over him. Looking forward to Wednesday.
I have removed the shell from my racing snail to make it go faster, if anything it's made it more sluggish.

Just not having any luck at all. Great saves, woodwork and defensive blocks stopped us equalizing. I thought we played well against a strong physical Halifax. Big shout out to Keaton Ward that had me in stitches !!

We're just lacking a quality forward or two. Hazel can't make anything stick up top, lacks movement and really isn't great at playing with his back to goal. Yesterday Halifax had two centre forwards short stocky and held the ball up every time. Very clever in how they did so, backed into their man every time and drew fouls when needed. Hazel stands rigid and flaps his arms when he inevitably gets out muscled. The new lad showed really quality when we got him on the ball, arguably wasted out wide. Proved that 2nd half when it appeared he was given a licence to roam and get on the ball. Coates bar the error very good, could we utilise him as a winger perhaps?

Overall we showed glimpses of quality. Drastically need a few more reinforcements of high quality then we may just have a chance

It was one of those matches, particularly the second half were I left feeling we were unfortunate to get a point or even 3. Another early goal conceded, a bit unfortunate as it took a deflection, beat Coates before getting the shot in who had a good match apart from that being good going forward than defending. Used his long throw a couple of times, but throwing to Hazel who was several inches shorter than Halifax's centre back.

The team certainly came out fighting, and effort levels were good. Regarding the calls from some to change manager, on that performance we should stick with IC. We're just a squad that finished 6th in National North last year that's not been strengthened enough. Halifax looked organised and for a lot of the match particularly first half with Hazel up front on his own their defence nullified him, could see management spotted this and tried to get Ward to push up closer to Hazel.

In the second half Hazel had a big chance with goalkeeper off his line, gets it on target but a great goal line clearance from the defender, Welch (good debut with some good touches can see why he's on the cusp on the Norwich first team) hit the post, Rowe had a good chance at the back post which he didn't manage to get the shot off quick enough (good work from Hazel initially on left wing).

If we weren't on a bad run we'd have left thinking a good performance against a good side that were in playoffs last season and unlucky to lose. Fylde Wednesday starting to feel like we just need to do whatever we need to do to get some points on the board.

I heard a few people complaining that we were taking short corners, however the lack of height in the middle was telling.
