Home vs Maidenhead
« on: September 28, 2024, 10:24:19 PM »
Poor day all round. What does everyone else think about IC’s post match interview? I think he comes across as dismissive and arrogant about the position we’re in. Admittedly he’s unlikely to hit a public panic button, but he just shrugs off the questions like he’s not bothered or he seems to think the questions shouldn’t be being asked. I know the season is 46 games, but with every match that goes by, it’s another match less to progress out of the drop zone.

Definite set-back today. We've now lost 5 out of 7 home games. I really thought we could win today. I think the last few games, in  different ways, have been encouraging, but this is a big step back. I said at the start of the season that if we finished outside the bottom 4 it would be a successful season. I now think it is the only aim we can have. I must keep the faith but now it means circling the wagons and fighting for survival.

I thought it was one of his best interviews. He agreed we were poor all round and it was our worst performance this season

We haven't won a home game since March if you want to take it back further..

That was 2 sides who will be playing regional football next season if you base it on that game. Was like I'd been transported back a year
From their equaliser onwards we looked devoid of ideas, poor on the ball and it wasn't a surprise they went jn and won the game

He came across very honest to me and less than happy with that performance and has made that known.  I would expect some changes in the not to distant future.   I also like the fact when its not gone well he fronts up and when it has gone well or even half decent he lets his team take the credit.

We started the game well enough and scored a very good goal through speed and slick passing but after that we seemed like we were out of fuel, we looked like the last two away games had taken its toll. Why do we play better away from home against teams that are at the top end of the table and struggle at home to lower teams?

I think he said what had to be said - it WAS our worst performance of the season. It was worse than our first couple of games. I'd rather he says that than make excuses.

It seems to be in our DNA,every league we've been in we've been the same.

Without a doubt a very disappointing second half. I don't know what else IC could have said without making up lame excuses, the performance was poor and he said so. At least he faces the cameras when things have gone badly.
