Beaten by the better team I'm afraid. I think we are a couple of players short of a good team.
I have removed the shell from my racing snail to make it go faster, if anything it's made it more sluggish.

Can't fault the effort once again, the ability of these teams to change from the bench is massive. The no8 that came on was brilliant. Still out the relegation zone!

Hands up beaten by a better team but the lads gave everything and thats all I ever ask. I agree with Mick we are a few short of a good squad but I'm sure the manager knows that but can only operate on the budget he has. I find it strange that we have Marriot warming the bench but never used he appears to be a very expensive passenger.
Great support again and we need to be there again on Saturday. UTP

Well, the first five minutes were good...! Then once Hazel scored (superb finish, by the way) it all got incredibly sloppy. The best I can say is that we kept ourselves in the game and gave ourselves a decent shout of a point with Rowe's effort right at the death.

Again, though, no complaints - the gulf in class was pretty evident the longer the game went on and the ability to score half chances is what puts the likes of Hartlepool, Yeovil, FGR and the rest ahead of us. There's no shortage of effort and desire and all that other stuff, but ultimately we lack that ruthless ability to stick away the half chances teams like Hartlepool will give you. Mainly because the players that give you that edge are out of our price range.

Also, not naming names but now we're a few games in it's becoming painfully obvious a couple of the summer signings aren't up to the level, so hopefully we're hard at work behind the scenes working out the best way to shift them on and free up some budget for upgrades.

I think some of the signings were made with the idea of playing that back 5 which doesnt work. We have Marriott and coates eating away at the budget. Mooney has been unfortunate as Osbourne got his chance and taken it. Pemi and Weston look lost, the latter probably down to him not being a winger. Ward/Leak both probably expected to be in and out.

The gulf in class has shown in games as has the ability to win games from the bench

Watched on NLTV and must agree with previous comments. Cannot fault the commitment and effort put in or the desire to get a result but we are not quite good enough to compete against every team in this league. Looking at the highlights of other games I think there are several teams in the same situation as Boston and there is going to be a league within the league of teams from mid table to the bottom beating each other, the one’s with the most wins will stay up and I think Boston will be good enough to get the points to stay up.

I was very surprised we signed him, apart from one game away last season ive always found him to be underwhelming to be polite in both spells at the club. Cleary done it elsewhere, but sometimes it doesn't just fit at some clubs. Hope to be proven wrong!

I agree with nearly all the comments above. The football is enjoyable to watch and a step up in quality from the previous years. You can see the effort being put in which probably explains the numbers coming through the gate.
