Notts County

I have to say that I am now looking forward to the new season following the game tonight. Apart from the ref who did his damndiist to spoil a good night by reducing us to 10 men for much of the second half the boys stood up tremendously well to a very rough County team. Super goal to win it from Agadodo sorry I mean Aderoju and feel he and Hazel can shine up front for us. Lots of good signs from many of the boys and Jai Rowe was outstanding.  UTP

Fair few grumpy Notts County fans about today, unhappy at the rough and tumble treatment meted out by their hosts. In fairness Hazel did seem a bit too hyped up for things judging from what I've seen, but as we're going to need a proper sh1thouse up front this season I'm not complaining.

Apparently the Notts assistant boss was unnecessarily abusive towards some United staff after the game as well.  It's pre-season!

Hazel was unhappy about some diving that was going on , the ref let a lot go then changed into a strict disciplinarian when Roberts brought down their striker ( to be fair in a regular league match it would have been a red).   Their asst mgr wasn't happy with the celebration at the end, the second goal though was a lovely bit of build up to a great finish, feeling a tad more optimistic than I was before the match
