New look team
« on: October 15, 2022, 09:32:11 AM »
Be prepared for one or two surprises within the next week.  ;) ;) ;)
I have removed the shell from my racing snail to make it go faster, if anything it's made it more sluggish.

I've heard we put in a 7-day approach for a target man striker, who plays in this division, and has also played for Culverhouse before.

You say "surprises", but it's pretty clear Cully has seen enough of this squad to know it's not gonna work for him. Could be a busy week!

Have Culverhouse sides ever played with the stereotype target man though? Can't really see a Denton, Rhead or Beck fitting the style of play

Can think of one centre forward in our division who has played for Culverhouse before. But the one I'm thinking of has also played for us before, which you'd probably have mentioned. Unless double bluffing?

Doesn't really sound his style but target men can work in otherwise "footballing" teams. There's one doing it quite well at Man City right now....

The name I heard who is leaving will please some. I was a fan. Look back on one of my previous posts for a clue😉

It's none of those.

Joe Leesley off to Darlington, eh? He'll probably be brilliant for them.

On loan. The flack he was getting off the usual suspects was unfair in my opinion. Who will they pick on now?

I'm sure there's an element that just goes to games to be destructive, I just find the whole experience of supporting Utd a really negative one at present.

I hope it changes as I used to love going to games at YS but I've found since the move there's been a definite increase in negativity and hostility towards the players.

They'll probably just aim it at the bench again.

Along with Crawford I thought Joe has been quality in the middle. Good move for him to be fair. Hopefully will be a signing or two announced.

- Gash at Lynn was a lump up there with Marriott from what I remember of them when they did us on NYD in the year they won the league
