See they have signed Craig Elliot as Manager. It's nice to see him back in business.

Liked him, pleased he's got fixed up with a decent club.
Is Matlock Town's  ground the highest ground in England?

According to the nice lady on my smart speaker the highest football league ground is the Hawthorns but the highest of all English grounds is indeed Buxton at 1000 feet above sea level (although that sounds a bit too approximate!).

Pleased to see Craig back in management - and at a decent level with an ambitious club. Still don't understand the decision to sack him when we were 6th, going through a bad patch admittedly, but most clubs do in most seasons, sure he would have put things right. Best wishes to Matlock for a successful season.

Yup. One of the rare occasions David Newton allowed himself to be swayed by chants on the Town End and incessant whiners on twitter who have since been proved wrong but refuse to admit it.

Was gone in the summer anyway, don't try and put his dismissal on those of us who don't hum along to your tune. He'd lost the crowd weeks before due to his inability to win the games that mattered..... a nice bloke but his race was run here.

Like I say, they refuse to admit they were wrong, even in the face of things like "reality", "facts" and "statistics". Cox was a huge downgrade on Elliott and there's absolutely no guarantee Culverhouse will be any improvement either (in fact his recent record suggests he probably won't).

I will agree there but hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Cox's problem was he wasn't Culverhouse as we've agreed before.

Time will tell if Culverhouse is any better than CE.

I would take Craig Elliott and his staff over the last regime any day.

The selection process did not work. It happens.

As for IC and PB, we have to remain positive and hopeful.
