Tales of a Pilgrim
« on: August 03, 2022, 01:04:16 PM »
You've probably heard about this, but in case you haven't, Callum Bates with help from Pete Brooksbank and Christian James has been working on a book called "Tales of a Pilgrim". This is a collection of stories and memories from the fans of the club. It is being put together from responses to a set of sixteen questions that have been distributed to Boston fans over social media as well as more traditional means at matches. There are already lots of great stories and the book will be published in time for Christmas.

More details can be found here: https://pages.qwilr.com/Tales-of-a-Pilgrim-plKIhzRweq5H

It's not too late to send in your stories and I'm sure there are lots more great tales, memories and opinions out there. The closing date for submission is the end of August.  You can answer the sixteen questions online via an easy-to-use form here: https://forms.gle/j8LNWhH8Rac5h2hn7 or you can copy the questions into an email and send your answers to bufcstories@gmail.com You can answer with anything from a sentence to a paragraph, it's up to you. Answer as many questions as you want and hit send when you're done. But try and keep your stories appropriate and family friendly. Unless you wish to remain anonymous then also supply: Your Name; Where you sit/stand at Pilgrim Way; Number of years following Boston United.

If you want to jog your memory you may find the history pages on my web site useful at: http://www.bufc.drfox.org.uk/history.html It's got results, line-ups, scorers and attendances of virtually every game the club has played since formation in 1933, along with a rollcall containing brief biographies and season by season statistics for every player who has turned out. It's also got a fair number of match reports from both recent and classic games, many with photos.
