We’re also in for Steve Guppy, Geoff Pike and Peter Haddock apparently

I did hear a rumour Bert Troutmann was being touted about being our new keeper. I'd never stick my neck out and say it  was dead cert.

I hope he nets us lots of goals.

Going to need to with Elliott most likely leaving.

FC Halifax Town seem to be one of the clubs interested in him given what their manager has said in the local Halifax press :-

"Danny Elliott is a player who we admire a great deal. He's certainly young in full-time football years and has got an awful lot of potential to grow into. He's a player that we're aware of and we would be really interested in attracting to the football club. We know that he's got a lot of interest from other clubs and we're not shy about competing with those clubs when it comes to trying to meet the best interest of Halifax Town."

Scott Pollock what a signing. Really offered us something different when on loan last season, looked like a real quality player, would be ideal next to Platt in the centre of midfield with their different qualities. Though he would likely get a League 2 or National League team after being released by Northampton, looked good enough.

Getting a top quality keeper in now looks to be the big one to sort if we want to challenge for promotion.

Another new signing from a club south of Boston - are we going to change our training base away from Doncaster? Although I was born in Boston, I have lived in Norfolk for 50 years and my local club would be Kings Lynn but I continue to be a Pilgrim and always will.

I see he comes from E Yorkshire and started at Hull, so perhaps he's returning to his roots?

I'm referring to Will Atkinson, of course.

Nope, but Ben is the son of Jamie Pollock and his brother plays for Watford.

It’s a change to have Pollocks rather than Pillocks

Dont care what people say but im pleased leesley as opted to come aboard. He got his critics but behind elliott last season he was the biggest contributor to the team. yes he misses a lot of passes but thats because if you watch the replays from last season he makes so many passes compared to others thats its inevitable at this level. But on the other side of that he makes that many passes he also as the highest pass completion rate. Teams not about who going to be the best to get on with at the bar, its about getting the job done
