What a pillock!

Now he'll get a 3 game ban for an act of idiocy.

Should be fined at least a weeks wages.

It is not often I join in to criticise a player but I totally agree in the case. If it had been 0-0 and tensions were high you some times expect the odd incident. But at 10-0 up it is beyond belief,

The ref seemed to be prepared to give him a second chance the first time he got involved but he just kept on until he gave the ref little option.
Are a few of these players made without brains or is it coached out of them at some point.

It might cost him if the new young lad keeps performing as he's started.  Sounds and looks like a cracking start.  Jamie Clark back on the bench next week then!

it was really stupid with no time left but I have to admit i would have not been too pleased with the tackle if it was on me - the major problem now being that now he is out for three matches...saying that i thought the ref could have just given two yellows as it was not a dirty game and it was just alot of pushing

There are no excuses for him.If it had been a game like the one against Retford, with everything that went on in that one you could have understood it.Given the circumstances today he should have just got up,smiled at the defender, and asked him what the score was. ;)

We were scoring regularly, Yates and the new lad were taking the one their back four at will and one of their strikers decided to help them out by challenging back but clattered Yates really late.

Then followed some verbals (where Yates should have just mentioned the score and carried on) and he threw the ball at the player right in front of the ref) for which he got a straight red.
So many people have come and gone, their faces fade as the years go by.
Yet I still recall as I wander on, as clear as the sun in the summer sky.

They way I saw it in addition to throwing the ball he also pushed the Durham guy and would have continued to do so if he had not been restrained, and tried to get away for his restraint for another go.
Not sure that the Durham player should have go any worse than the yellow he got. It was not one of those types of games.
