For those of you who're interested in the goings on just across the boarder.

The King's Lynn phoenix club looks likely to play in the Ridgeons League (level nine) in 10/11 season, having been granted a 25year lease on The Walks stadium.

Good news, finally, for Lynn.

Good to see it owned by local business people rather than ambitious outsiders claiming to have pots of cash to put in the club.

from my personal prospective , it wasnt good , we , the supporters had the finance , the backing and the support with a really solid plan to put to the kings lynn council to allow the club to be run by the fans , instead under rather bizarre circumstances they awarded it to a local wealthy buissnessman who managed to have a rather nice webb site up and running the moment the press anouncement was made.
the said buisnessman man had also promised a seat on the board for 1 of our recently formed trust.
this was withdrawn within 1 hour of him securing the lease on our ground on the basis that he didnt think the supporters trust represented the supporters of kings lynn.

Oh, ok. With that being said maybe it isn't such good news.
Thanks for coming on and setting that straight.

Talk of reaching the Conf. in 7 years or so may be a little ambitious as well I fear.

This bit is interesting:

"Firstly I would like to assure fans that the club will always be known as King's Lynn Football Club"

That's actually a breach of a very fundamental FA rule regarding the re-formation of clubs that have gone bust, so unless the authorities decide to permit them special dispensation (which would no doubt make fans of Nuneaton, Telford, Halifax et al very angry indeed) they're going to have to think of something else pretty quickly.

I second that linnet 1976. Keen to say how much money he would spend and never said if it was obtainable.   Best rid of him .  Anybody know where Jon Sotnic is these days ?

Is this the same Jon Sotnick who had public forums to explain to all who would listen his vision of a great stadium for BUFC and then failed to produce a business plan to the planners. Call me old fashioned , but never go shopping without money.

Having watched the saga of the rebirth of Kings Lynn I see the the new management have it sussed and could teach us something.
On their new website they have important information for the fans, perhaps we need the same.
They have the 'Rules of the Game' on their site with Important information  for fans.

An Extract
SCORING
A team can only score a Goal if the whole of the ball crosses the goal line between the goalposts.
The winner is the team who scores more goals.
With information like that we could win the league

Chatted to a very nice Kings Lynn fan from Spalding at the match yesterday. He seemed fairly confident that they will be ok. The league they will be in is full of local teams to them so that will cut down on traveling. Lets hope they can get some decent players in for next season and they will soon be back on the up.  :)
