I think you will have to pre book for a parking space.  £5 I think. Easier coming out the ground and turning left. Seemed to be a bit of a tailback heading to Boston.  I had no problems before or after the match.  But I know some that did have problems.
The older I get, the earlier it gets late

Thanks for that Dipdodah. Turning left no problem as I can head back to the Midlands via Kirton.

Car-parking update: https://www.bostonunited.co.uk/news/travel-update--preseason-2632826.html

Basically, no room at the inn for most, no pre-booking available, try not to come by car and if you have to, don't piss off any local residents.

Slightly disappointed with this car parking situation. I thought when we moved to the new ground, away from the Town centre, there would be ample room to park. Not to worry, where there's a will as they say.

Update on parking does tell us that there will be more room when construction work is over and other car park is available.

True, but car park 4 isn't huge so even when it's available there won't be much room for people who aren't guests/staff/season pass holders. I don't think there was ever any doubt the car park would be mostly full and people would spill out into the Quadrant, it's just how that's managed going forward that'll be key as residents are already grumbling on Facebook after one match.

Also, by "construction complete" I assume they mean the South Stand - and we have no timeline for that yet. Could be next year, equally, it could be 3-5 years off!

I would have thought many people will car share / families all in one car (effectively doubling capacity), some will walk if local, others get lifts etc, sure it’s won’t be a problem when all complete.

Surely there is a opportunity for Bryline bus company to run a service on matchdays,

I seem to think there was talk of a bus service running to and from the stadium when this stadium parking was first discussed, If a bus company was to operate a bus pick up drop off area near the stadium, this could serve people going to the match who live in the Kirton Sutterton area, this daily service already runs on the old London Road from the town to Kirton and onto Spalding, Is this still in the pipeline to come into operation in the future? , I’ve not seen nothing official on a bus service yet, I know it’s crazy times with this covid virus still rampant in the Boston area, maybe posters on this site have heard something about this could happen in the future .

The shuttle bus was part of the original event management plan but appears to have been quietly dropped.

I think there is scope for a company to make money by running shuttles out to the ground but the proposed bus lay-by went the way of the proposed improvements to the eastern A16 footpath, i.e., it ain't happening, so I guess the bus would have to loop into the Quadrant and drop off at Wallace Way before heading back into town.

The Travel Update on the web site does talk about bus services to the ground (and other alternative ways of getting there - Foot, Taxi, Cycle)

OTHER MEANS OF TRAVELLING TO THE STADIUM OTHER THAN BY CAR:

ON FOOT
There are a network of footpaths from the town to the stadium, although those using the footpath will have to cross the A16 via the crossing points.

CYCLE
Cycle racks are available either end of the Acorn Taxis (West) Stand, with all cycles left at the owner's risk.

TAXI
Club partners Acorn Taxis are offering deals for supporters travelling to and from the Jakemans Community Stadium.

Departing from their office in the bus station, the cost for journeys to and from the stadium would be £6 (each way) per car and £10 (each way) per minibus.

You can book an Acorn Taxi by calling (01205) 358358. Please book well in advance.

BUS SERVICES
Brylaine bus services B13 and K58 serve The Quadrant. Further details can be found on the Brylaine website (here) – please note: "The Quadrant" is not listed on the two Brylaine schedules, but we are informed that they drop off and pick up on Wallace Way (on The Quadrant).

Stagecoach, meanwhile, operate bus 57 between Boston and Spalding. It stops in The Quadrant, near to Starbucks, and services people travelling between Boston and Spalding bus stations. For full details, click here.

The current bus services aren't any good for midweek fixtures, though - they all stop long before the end of a match.

What was it like for getting away after the game if you parked by the ground?

I was in car park Y and had no problems whatsoever.  Far easier than York Street ever was.

The club is listening. Here's the latest great news from the club site.

Midweek Launch for Shuttle-buses

Midweek launch for shuttle buses
By Craig Singleton

Boston United are pleased to confirm that a shuttle bus will run from Boston town centre for the forthcoming fixture against Notts County on Tuesday.

The pick-up point for the shuttle bus will be located outside the Len Medlock Voluntary Centre, St George's Road, Boston, PE21 8YB (adjacent to the bus station) – and United staff will be present.

The pick-up point is also well located for Boston Railway Station, which is only a four-minute walk to the Len Medlock Voluntary Centre.

The cost will be £1.50 each way.

For this fixture it will be CASH ONLY, paid to the United staff before boarding the bus (the same applying to the return journey). Please have the correct change available.

We hope to have online ticket sales – and contactless payments – available for the Grimsby Town fixture on Saturday August 7 – and will confirm details nearer the time.

We are delighted to be working with Cropley Coaches of Fosdyke on this initiative for United supporters – and, of course, visiting supporters.

Initially, the timetable will be as follows:

OUTWARD - from the Len Medlock Voluntary Centre
5.00pm
5.45pm
6.30pm
7.15pm

RETURN - to the Len Medlock Voluntary Centre
9.45pm
10.30pm

All timings are approximate and will depend on traffic conditions on the route.

As this is a new service, we will monitor timings and adjust them in future if needed to ensure the best possible service. Any changes will be publicised.

IMPORTANT
To help reduce the potential spread of the Covid-19 virus, face coverings MUST be worn on the shuttle bus.

As all the parking spaces are not yet available at the new Jakemans Community Stadium due to ongoing construction works, we would ask as many people as possible to use this service, or consider one of the alternative means of accessing the stadium…

ON FOOT
There are a network of footpaths from the town to the stadium, although those using the footpath will have to cross the A16 via the crossing points.

You will note that some of the service times do NOT suit evening fixtures – please check the timetables carefully.

CAR SHARING
We would ask as many people as possible to consider car sharing to not only help with parking at the stadium, but also to help reduce the travel carbon footprint. For car sharing, however, we would also recommend that face coverings are worn – and the vehicle is well ventilated.

PARKING ARRANGEMENTS
We once again confirm the arrangements as follows:

Parking will be available at £3 per car on a first come, first served basis. The club would ask that supporters have the correct change ready – although contactless payments will be accepted too.

It is anticipated that car parking will almost exclusively be for sponsors, club guests and car park season pass holders when the National League North campaign gets under way against Spennymoor Town on Saturday August 14.

Further car park season passes will be released for sale in due course.

If parking near the stadium, please consider those living in the area. Car Park 4 will become available following completion of construction works at the Community Stadium.

The Covid-19 pandemic has not gone away, so we ask everyone to continue to play their part in trying to minimise transmission of the virus.

I thought they meant the 3G pitch, as car park 4 is next to there, just past Greggs as you go in.
