Season ticket dilemma
« on: September 21, 2020, 08:53:11 AM »
I thought about upgrading to the west stand.  This presents several problems.  I have always stood with family and friends on the old Spayne road stand.  We have the full match day experience, pint in the club, plenty of banter and curry and chips at half time.

The trouble is, some of the group are non season ticket holders.  They can only make about 50% of the matches, due to working or being on call.  It looks like due to covid 19 restrictions, the only way to get a guaranteed entry is to buy one.  The other problem is, if we buy tickets for the West stand we cannot sit together.  We are not all in the same bubble.  So the other option is not to upgrade and stand in the north stand.  My old legs are not what they were, and I find it difficult to stand for the full 90 minutes.

The other problem being, the west stand will be bloody cold with a bitter easterly wind.

Dilemma sorted.  I will stand with my family and friends (observing social distancing of course ).

I can imagine some fans facing the same dilemma :D :D :D
The older I get, the earlier it gets late
