Good hard defender and the Boston fans loved him but when he was at Gainsborough before Boston the Boston fans called him a dirty bast--d.  :)

We called him a dirty b******d when he played for Retford as well, but he was a fantastic player for us.

I wouldn't class him as a "dirty" player, just "professional" in his tackling, in the mode of Norman Hunter or Billy Bremner et al, players on the opposing teams
knew what to expect from him and he didn't let them down. :)
