Play-Offs
« on: January 03, 2010, 04:48:29 PM »
Does anybody know the dates for the play-offs?

Google search didnt really help me, and its time to book dates off work, so first date is going to be the play-off final, hopefully it will be at York Street if we finish second.

Last season the playoff semi-finals were played on the Tuesday following the end of normal fixtures with the final on the following Saturday. So if the same happens this season it will be

1. Tue 27th April 2nd vs 5th
2. Tue 27th April 3rd vs 4th

3. Sat 1st May Winner 1 vs Winner 2

So how do they decide the final venue? Whichever team finishes higher?

Is it a ground about half way between both the teams in the final?

No. It's at the team's ground who finished highest in league last year it was at Ilkeston's ground.

Finishing 2nd would be sweet!
So many people have come and gone, their faces fade as the years go by.
Yet I still recall as I wander on, as clear as the sun in the summer sky.

Agree, 2nd should be our minimum aim, ideally we would love to win the league to avoid the unpredictabililty of the play-offs

Home advantage is key if you end up in play offs although it does depend on how good you are at home.
