Endeavour Radio

Is it just me or does anyone else think what a load of hopeless useless rubbish it is?

Bit harsh on a station mostly run by unpaid staff

No worse than Radio Lincolnshire who don't seem to know where Boston is ! I ended up listening to the match on our opponents local radio. Just where does Radio Lincolnshire loyalty lie ? There are other teams besides Lincoln City in Lincolnshire. Who wants to listen to snippets about United in their broadcasts?

I used to volunteer comms a few times
Think it's a tad harsh on local lads who volunteer to do it

Yes it can be a bit ropey and rusty but it's out together with next to no money
I've often used their service when radio lincs do not bother and I couldn't get to midweek homes

That's an awful comment, These lads do a great job for next to nothing and we should be grateful for their wonderful efforts.

Really harsh comment there Wismo.

For one thing its run by volunteers, not professionals so its not going to be anything like as slick as the BBC or Lincs FM.

And have you listened to Hortin and Thompson? I listened to them when Lincoln played Sunderland and woeful isn't even the start. They knew no SAFC players and the whole commentary seemed to be a chummy lads banter style dialogue where the football was secondary to their own self congratulatory approach.

Finally Endeavor actually support local football and give all the area's clubs a mention, the BBC could lean a lot from their community based approach, rather than their insular Imps based bias.

Yeah, I'm sticking up for Endeavour too.

Living in the south east going to games is a very rare occurance and Endeavour is far more consistant in commentary than Radio Lincoln City.

Ok, it's a bit rough round the edges, but you can tell they care and it's much better than nothing

I often listen to it. Quite like the commentary we get from Endeavour which is less polished than BBC Lincolnshire but a more passionate fans style commentary, yes they have some technical issues at times but I suspect it is run on a shoestring budget, so to be expected. Like the community feel it has.
