2nd Round Draw

Is tomorrow at 7pm.

Great to see home draw against Ipswich/Lincoln, Sunderland, Portsmouth. All of those would be TV ties along with Coventry who I imagine would bring a fair few fans along too. Not that many non-league sides left so you would think a home game against most FL sides would likely have some sort of coverage.

Really hope we avoid an away game at Fylde, Dover, Forest Green, Plymouth or Carlisle. Combination of being miles away and quite good, some of the L1 and L2 sides don't really get the same sort of attendances judging from some of the games this weekend. Blackpool looked empty from the highlights.

If you're looking for a winnable tie then either Chichester or Altrincham are the ones.

Yes absolutely no easy draws, however we did slap them 5-0 earlier on this season, you’d back yourselves to win against them at home.

Good for me travelling wise as it's just 16 miles away and I can get there by a combination of bus & tram - end of the line on the Manchester Metrolink is a short walk from Alty's ground.

Mind you it brings back some painful memories anytime I'm in or near Altrincham -  I travelled on that route the two successive the seasons we lost 6-1 and 7-1 !!

No easy ties at this point in the competition with every team desperate to make it into round three. I just want a home tie!!

Someone said to me on Saturday, that the odds are we will get a home tie, because of all the away ties we have had.   The odds are, and always have been evens.

10 away and 6 at home in the league by this coming Saturday (weather permitting).
  4 away and 0 at home in the F A Cup so far.

Spare a thought for Hartlepool FC. Travel all the way to Yeovil only for the game to be called off. Hope we avoid the eventual winners of that one away from home.
