The Jakemans Stadium
Boston United secretary John Blackwell is appealing for volunteers to help clear the remaining snow from the pitch on Boxing Day morning.

Blackwell is confident that the Boxing Day fixture against Stocksbridge Park Steels will go ahead, providing the remainder of the snow is removed from the playing surface on the morning itself.

Volunteers are asked to arrive at The Jakemans Stadium from 8.30am onwards on Boxing Day, armed with snow shovels and wheelbarrows if possible.

We are on if the snow is shifted in time apparently :o
Does anyone know what time the ref has his first look at the pitch?
Overnight low of zero, rising to 5 degrees by 9.0am, and then increasing to 7 degrees by lunchtime according to Metcheck.
Could this be an opportunity for somebody, who was down on his luck, to earn his ticket in to the game? Or would that bring back too many memories of the old gravy-train, freeloading days of Christmas-not-too- far past  :dan
