Really good win against a side who I would be surprised if they were up there (on yesterday's performance at least).  Abbott was excellent and back to the player he was when he first came in.  Just need to keep it up but helped that they were so open in midfield but we kept the ball down and played some really good football.

Very impressed with Knowles up front, his runs and telling players where he wanted the ball looked first class for this level and if gets the service will score plenty this season.

A word for the ref who i thought had a pretty good game (bar i think their number 9 should have gone in the clash with Ainge second half as it looked like he hit him but it was on the ref's wrong side but not the assistant who looked too scared to say anything).

All in all, a lot more positive than 48 hours ago and roll on a nice local one for me in Hereford

OK Oxo, just for you. Ainge is like 541t off a shovel and will never get done for pace Signing of the summer for us.

It would seem no one can have a opinion that differs from your own.  I wouldn’t want to upset you by suggesting that there can be no other view but yours.

I think I did mention he was strong in the air.  Though I notice you choose to omit that from your ‘useless’ Tag.

Let’s have this discussion again around Feb/March and see who is right.  Do you prefer custard or cream with your humble pie ?

What an excellent victory. I had a few quibbles but overall brilliant.
All this nonsense about our central defence. Best we've had for a while.

Pleased also that Oxo acknowleged Brad had a very good game.

For what its worth, I think we always need to play three in midfield,
and when we only play two they are always overstretched.

I thought the 3 that played their on Monday in that heat were
outstanding. I've not seen Green play so cannot comment on whether
he would be better than any of those.

I said a few games ago it would take up to 10 games for this side to gel,
and if they continue like they did on Monday we will have a very good
season. Consistency is key in this league.

Lets keep positive and this team can get us to the play offs.

The way Green left the dug out on Monday after our final sub suggests to me he won’t be here for too much longer.

Brilliant result from yesterday's XI.
Alan Partridge: "I bet I've got more friends than you've got cows. How many cows have you got?"
Farmer: "I've got 100 cows."
AP: "Well, I've got 104 friends!"

Ooh heck, didn't want to fall out I thought if anyone posted on here it was open for discussion, if not it is a waste of time. If you now agree that he is indeed a good signing say so and by the way you did not mention anything about his strength in the air, however, your closing remark clearly says he will still be as poor as you say he is come the end of the season, please don't take offence but I think you are wrong, but I will not comment on anything you may put on here in the future.   UTP.

Third twin, it’s not about him not being the swiftest the guy is too slow and will cost us this season.  Ok he he is strong in the air but on the deck he is putting extra pressure on the rest of the back line who are having to cover for this, when they can.  The guy should be shedding the pounds.  He knows he struggles for pace so needs to be in peak condition to compensate for this.

We won’t fall out about it.  We all have opinions on the game. Isn’t that what makes Football the game we love.

I would love it if I’m wrong about the guy as this would mean we are in for a decent season. I can see this League being tight and Clubs being ruthless. ( 2 Managers gone already). Saturday was a great result and shows what this team is capable of, however it was on the back a poor performance on Saturday.

It's so childish on here , people trying to appear so polite but determined to trash what someone else has said and have the last say as if it makes their point more valid.

Not much point in criticizing the players for childish behaviour in the melee v Leamington if we do the same here.

The only downside on Saturday is that I worry Greeny will walk if he does not get played. That would be a loss as that creativity and eye for a chanelled pass is very much needed when pace players like Thewliss are back.
