Midfielder George Green and left back Alex Whittle have linked up with the Pilgrims.

Green (23) is a former Everton youth team player who has joined from Chester.  Whittle (26) joins from NPL club Warrington Town and has previously played for Southport in the NLP and for Fylde and York in the NLN.

Looking very promising these two.
Looks like the rumour was not just a rumour.

I wish him all the best. Hopefully Boston is the place that “clicks”  for this chap as he’s obviously got a lot of potential and has been through a fair bit.

Indeed. Let's hope we can help him to overcome his problems.

Trolls are out.

Where?

In the seven previous posts I see five which are very positive about the new signing and two which are neutral. Posting a factual and informative link to a previous story about a player (and from the BBC no less) is not trolling. Besides, isn't this a positive news story about a, player overcoming previous difficulties?

Couldn't agree more, a young man trying to get his life and career back on track, and also has the balls to face up to his past.
Well done George, l like many commend and support you, welcome to  Boston united.

Give the lad a chance.  We have all made mistakes in life, but few of us to this extent.  I hope the lad has put his demons behind him and wants to prove a point, if so it can only benefit us.  Welcome to Boston George.

There's always someone on here that wants to put a downer on what Craig is trying to achieve.   Welcome to Boston United George I hope your stay
with us goes as well as you hope.

Ben Davis and Ryan Cresswell did not report back for pre season training.
Ben is away but still interested in returning, but Ryan is not.
Craig is not going to wait around for any of them, that's football.

The guy is open about his addictions,  if he didn’t have some issues then he’ wouldn’t be with us.  Keep him busy on the pitch and I’m sure he will repay is.

Sure Reece Thompson behaved when he was with us and had the regular football to concentrate on but was awkward before joining us and the lowest of the low after!

Not sure where you're coming from, I'm aware that in the past people have been critical of Craig, the club, the board, etc, but there are no negative comments on this thread. Just factual content and positive encouragement.
