Just got back from long weekend in York. The game itself was like the old saying, "a game of two halves, Brian". We were poor 1st half. So were York. We started 4-5-1 at first, with Rollins up front. It didn't work. We didn't manage 1 shot on target. They scored 2 goals from free kicks. The 1st was a belter but Willis was at fault for the 2nd.

The 2nd half was, as Monty Python remarked, "something completely different". Walker was pushed forward to help Jay and Wright was playing as a winger, not a wing-back. We started to look as if we might actually score. And so we did, Walker did well to set up Jay and then an absolute peach from Wright.

We rode our luck a little in the last 10 minutes but got the draw we deserved. We didn't deserve to win because the 1st half was worse than at Chester. I then proceeded to get happily plastered at the White Bear at Stillington{cottage behind the pub}. Excellent food and beer, thoroughly recommended.

Definitely deserved a draw in the end, was very disappointed with the first half and thought a drubbing was on the cards. Lets hope we can use this good point and kick on for the final run in
