Is this young fellow the son of Steve?
Blooming good old player was his father.

Maybe we should be looking to get Ricky Miller in on loan, He's out of favour at Port Vale and hasn't featured since 4th December in the Checkatrade trophy. Just saying.

I believe Miller has been injured rather than out of favour. But when you consider the fact that he lives in Stoke and is banned from driving for three years (his third drink drive conviction was last summer), getting to training and games with us presumably wouldn't be viable.

Sounds as though the Three Bells pub in Stoke Sunday league would be more appealing to him .

Chettle is a proper ball playing midfielder and will be a fine signing IF he is given the platform to play

If it's just lumped long he won't be effective

the info that my post is based on was from a tweet made by the BBC Radio Derby guy who covers Alfreton matches, so hopefully this is correct, as he sounds like another Liam Agnew, who fitted in particularly well, albeit for a few games

Did the other loanee midfielder from Barnsley come on 2nd half against Alfreton?
He was on the bench at the last home game... maybe that's as good as it gets for the youngster  :-\

He came on for the last few minutes, looked lively, but not long enough out there to have much effect. he is known as "#41". Mr Chettle is now known as "#42"!

May be a record for this point in the season, but still a few to go before it's an overall record total for Boston United. Here's a list of the total number of players used over the past few seasons.

2000-01 38
2001-02 36
2002-03 37
2003-04 38
2004-05 40
2005-06 35
2006-07 40
2007-08 43
2008-09 36
2009-10 33
2010-11 49
2011-12 44
2012-13 37
2013-14 41
2014-15 42
2015-16 49
2016-17 51
2017-18 48
2018-19 41

It's a tad higher than the 17 players used in 1966-67 that won the West Midlands League title. Didn't have any problems finding a goalscorer that season either. Peter Thompson got 42 goals in 46 appearances but wasn't top scorer. That went to Jimmy Rayner with 49 in 51 appearances.
