How about a scheme that lets the King's Lynn season ticket holders in for free on Boxing Day along with Shodfried & family as a thank you for his recent fundraising efforts and to stop him being "Mr Grumpy" over Christmas.  ;D

Its a great gesture by the club to the Lynn fans, lets hope its a gesture replicated to home fans in the not too distant future too.

Missed this in your haste to have a pop did you 'PILGRIM86'?

WHAT ABOUT SOME MODERATION ON THIS FORUM MR FOX AND THE MODERATORS?

IS THIS KIND OF PETTY ABUSE REALLY NECESSARY?

THERE'S 3 PAGES OF VALID ARGUMENTS WITHOUT RESORTING TO INSULTS, HOW ABOUT PULLING A FEW UP EH MODS?
I wasn't having a pop - no abusive words were used were they? You may have said it was a great gesture, but then you had to add something on the end, hoping it's replicated to home fans.

Do you really want it replicating? For us to lose our club, and go see another one for free?
I create YouTube videos (BUFC/FM/CM 01-02), and stream Football Manager on Twitch as BostonUnitedFM.

Having seen the sniping that has gone on the Kings Lynn forum over the last couple of weeks, please don't let ours degenerate.
It is the season to be jolly.

maybe we should have a sticky thread at the top of the forum for a.b to remind us all about evans and also how none of us saw what was happening. He can  vent his anger on that and then we can all avoid that thread and continue with our pointless but then non-insulting views on the rest of the forum.

I cant really see why any Bostn fan would have a problem with this, i certainly dont. We may get a piece of good publicity in the NLP and the players wont mind playing in front of a bigger crowd.

It's a great idea, can't see how anyone could think any different really.  If one fans gets in for free then it is a success and fabulous publicity for a club that has had its fair share of bad publicity in recent years.  Realistically it isn't going to break the bank cos my guess is that not a vast % of their fans will take us up on the offer and they have, what 400-500 season ticket holders?  Most of the entrance fee will be earned back in pints and programmes etc anyway.

I think I'm falling in love with my club again....
So many people have come and gone, their faces fade as the years go by.
Yet I still recall as I wander on, as clear as the sun in the summer sky.

It's just nice to see the effort being made. It's so easy not to be a bunch of tosswits, sadly Boston have spent much of this decade acting exactly in that manner.

Still, we shouldn't get too hung up on the good publicity aspect - free entry is just a tiny crumb of comfort to the fans of a big club who have just lost their Saturday afternoon football fix until the summer at the very least, and David Newton summed it up perfectly with his last statement: "I realise it will not replace watching the team that was in their hearts, but hopefully it will show that they are being thought about within the football family."

Exactly. It's a small gesture, I would imagine relatively few Lynn fans will take us up on it, but it's the thought that counts. Hopefully we will be able to follow it up with a friendly with the re-formed club in the summer.

This is a fantastic gesture by BUFC which has been very well received by our fans. The support shown by so many fans from all over the country has been amazing - I was at Cambridge United on Sat and their fans not only donated over £1000 but were very sympathetic and supportive of our predicament.
As some of you may remember I was organising a sponsored walk to Boston on Boxing Day and following this gesture by your club I may continue with the plans to do this.
Obviously with your clubs permission if we do come over we may well ask to do a bucket collection outside the ground - I would appreciate you comments on this idea ( good OR bad )

Thanks
