Poor game with them being the better side before their goal and cutting through our non-existent midfield with ease but not creatintbg that much.

We’ve been much better since then (and the better side) and Slew missed a great one-on-one chance but not created anything more than half chances.

Not sure where a goal would come from for us but live in hope

Thanks for the report Weston, sounds like Slew has not found his scoring touch yet!

Another defeat, another blank up front. See who got a hatrick for Oxford city v Tranmere . Did we let him go too soon.
Desperately need a creative midfielder, though it would mean the roundabout keeps spinning

Well set off about half nine full of optimism but just on mini bus setting off home. Sadly a bit pissed off. No criticism generally but we cannot keep bringing new players in weekly and expect some gelling in the squad. Allot tried but won nothing all day and so many of the lads were weak in challenges and to change it we bring on weaker lads.  But the positive our young centre back is class and will play higher level. Sadly we wouldn’t score if we were still there. But ce is doing his best but I’ll be home at eight thirty and question whether It’s worth the effort right now. But ce is learning at this level and in time will come good.  Hopefully

Good interview with Nosher after the game.  Sounds like he's here for the right reasons, and he was sure it was a penalty today.
When he was here in his younger days he used to regularly burst through on goal from midfield.   An exciting player to watch who scored a good few goals for us and still got plenty in the tank, hopefully  :police:

I couldn't get to game so listened on radio shropshire. They are much improved on past few seasons, they played it on the deck & if we could have dug a point out it would have been a result. I was reading on there OS on Friday & interestingly their manager said he knew exactly what sort of game they would get from us: that were were a hard working side, but essentially a long ball unit ! In the 2nd half both their commentators derided our long ball tactics, saying only Telford were trying to play football. Ok we were away from home, and they are a strong side, but surely we have to mix our play up a bit or were just to predictable & easy to contain.

Problem is H56 with out style of play for a midfield to be able to bring the ball under control he needs to be at least 30 metres tall .   Is our revolving door high enough to get one through ?  :)

In all honesty we got what we deserved it was obvious that the three five two set up was not working as simply we don't have the players capable of playing it. Our center half from Salford will soon be playing at a much higher level and makes his team mates look very ordinary. Slew had a clear chance but his effort as my old grandad used to say was neither arsehole nor water cress. Should we have had a penalty? Absolutely stonewall just one of many pathetic decisions all afternoon. Difficult to see how we are going to score certainly need a quick little gritty forward who will run at and round defenders and generally create a bit of havoc in the box, suggestions please.   UTP.

Tshimanga. Let's not go there. OK, we've probably got no better than him now but he had his chances and no one was really that bothered when he left. Unless I've been missing the calls for him each week?

He isn't the answer. We need Rollins back and quickly. Last year we had him, Hemmings and Thompson. They're the sort of players we are missing. They're just not that easy to come by.

I gave it a miss today as I knew it'd be tough and it would have been another long trip. I had hedges to cut.

We're not going down but probably not up either. We'll flirt with the play offs and that's about as good as it'll get. Realistically it will take CE a full season to get his head around this league and we will have to be patient.

I believe he left us because he wanted to start most games, even though he was more effective off the bench. CE was not going to guarantee it, so no offer was made.
