Can someone please tell southender that our goalkeeper is a talented player, capped at full international level by his national team. Can someone also tell southender that the keeper is recovering from a long term injury, hasn't had a pre season and will still be catching up in terms of fitness, positioning and match practice. Can someone also tell southender that the goalkeeper is a human being, and that human beings can occasionally have off days.

True, but for all of the reasons given we should cut a bit of slack. I'm a Boston United supporter, not a Boston United critic.

By comparison, Ben Middleton cost us the game at Darlington with a stupid and inexcusable challenge. There were a few comments on here about it afterwards, but nobody created a whole new anti-Middleton thread. Why do we need one for the keeper?

And there was plenty of our other players out there who also contributed to the defeat

Surely all of the outfield players cost us the game by not creating enough chances and scoring enough goals. You could criticise everyone if you really wanted !

Can you elaborate southender?

The first goal looked like something out of the 1950's.  A lot of refs would have given it as a foul on the keeper.

The second goal - is he expected to mark the man coming in on the back post?

The third goal  - a well struck shot that many would have struggled to get near.

When the manager comes out and says he should be doing better with all three I think its an open and shut case.

A bad night but he's human, we move on.

Maybe he should have done better but then so should the rest of the players - and the management team. We do move on - thankfully.

First one looks like free kick to me but at 6ft Plus our keeper should off been stronger
Second and Third have to agree with Craig, goalkeeper should do better.

I will cut him some slack but looking forward to Willis coming back.

Cant understand why so much negativity only 6 points off runaway leaders.

How many games has he had to gel and get to know his team mates 2& bit that's all, how many has Willis had.
Cut the fella some slack,l don't believe that CE should be making comments about individual players like that either, let's hope it doesn't damage the confidence and moral of the team.

I'm with Ferret on he first goal , seeing the video I think many refs would have given a foul .

Brackley may think that Craigs first half tactics contributed more to their win than our goalie did .

As Andy says we move on ,     win at Ashton and all will be forgiven and forgotten .

All I will say on the subject is after watching him in the last two home games I can only remember him catching one cross. I’m with Craig on this one, wouldn’t surprise me if he fetched the young lad back from Cleethorpes.
