Smith would be ideal in a 4 4 2. But that seems not to be a system liked by many managers these days. 100% effort. Gives everything for the cause. Limited in many areas but loves (loved?) the club and will be a fine signing wherever he goes. Good luck to him

Yeah can understand that. Maybe not what CE has in mind for how he wants us to play. Yes he has assets to his game & never gives less than his all. As I stated Distribution & hold up play wanting at our level; there's also the question of his discipline & general fitness too. We need a 20 goal a season CF. If Guiseley were still full time & in Conference I would have said Thompson deal was dead esp with Dayle being sold. Then again u would have thought Craig would have made his move by now. Is Ricky Miller signed up after Peterborough debacle?

I'm certain the manager has people in mind. He doesn't strike me as a manger that will panic about getting what he wants. I'm certain we will be seeing a striker or two in the very near future.

Does not surprise me one bit,, I thought it would have come earlier than this.
He keeps failing to get them promoted, and they have been spending alot of money .

Would be v surprised if Brogan turned up at Alfreton. They've got Josh Wilde who is quality plus Ciaran Keane who can play left back or left mid

Think he's Sheffield based so that brings the Leeds and Manchester based clubs into the picture too for his services
