Bit surprised by his move to Stockport, thought he was the one out of contract player who might stay with us!

Totally agree oxo, just don't pamper to them get rid.
They either want to be with us or not, same goes for Hemmings.

Same here ,  under CE he started chipping in with vital goals which was a bonus .  Sad to see him go .

Like any other occupation chubby it's all down to hard cash , that's the way of thing's .
The end of the season awards showed his great contribution for season ,  I regret seeing him go but have to say thanks and good luck .

Craig Elliott made his season for him, without Craig he would have been out on loan somewhere.
CE made him captain and gave him a chance to play, he has though now showed to everyone what he is like.
Apparently he has said that Stockport is a proper club going places, so from that comment he obviously doesn't think we are.
Well let's see Mr big head what happens next season, l would wager that he will spend more time bench warming than defending.
Good riddance to him, he is obviously not good enough for this club, you can go and walk your dog's with your brother.

You've got to be realistic chubby ,  how many of us would turn down a pay rise ?.  We cannot compete with clubs like Stockport with wage offers .

As Greene found out it's frustrating spotting these players and putting them in the shop window , only to see them move on to bigger clubs.

Will more follow ?

As said by others, in his opinion he's furthering his career. We really shouldn't knock anybody for that. reality check though, Stockport are only mid table, just like us. sure, there's a larger fan base, but that's it.

There was a thread last year which included comments relating to having pride to play for your local team, well there's nobody local and no pride in the shirt, just good old fashioned best wages available. Let's face it, that's life in football these days.

Think he's Derby based too. So 2 hrs plus versus an hour travelling a couple of times a week makes a time and fuel cost difference

Clubs bin players without a second thought. Often not even having the courtesy to di it face to face. Don't blame him for putting himself first

Good luck to him

Several of our out-of-contract players are signed up with the same "Sportz Connexions" agent. Connexions will only really make money if they move on since I can't imagine we have much spare for signing on/agent fees, and so clearly this agency will be on the phone trying to find better deals for the players somewhere else. In Keane's case, they succeeded. It's nothing to do with Stockport being onto good things - I highly doubt Keane has an intricate knowledge of their squad. He's just gone for the extra $$$ for himself and the agent.

To be honest, I find the idea of agents operating at this level a bit embarrassing for all concerned, but hey ho - nothing we can do to change it. The simple fact is that those players have absolutely no intention of staying at Boston if the agency can find them a new home.
