Great signing for them and a likely return to play against us next season.

Is it permanent or a loan.

I see it is permanent, that could be good news for us regarding Thompson staying here permanently.
I feel a bit sorry for Dayle though, having to drop out of the football league.

Sorry to see Dayle dropping down a league (or two) .  Seems to be unlucky with injuries , hope things go well for  him .

Good move for all involved. it will be a chance for Southwell to get back up and running. and he will, Good signing for them and as said it could help us in trying to get Thompson

At least he has given it a go, I don't as a rule like the idea of x players coming back, but he is most welcome back at York Street.
Just a shame we couldn't land him, could you imagine a Thompson and Southwell combination up front, they would terrorise any defence.

Not sure about that. Both are the same type of players

Dayle needs to be part of an attacking team. He played his best football with Mark Jones up front with him and with Felix and Rollins supporting from the wings and supplying plenty of crosses. My fear about him joining Guiseley is that Cox and Murray aren't always attack minded and are more likely to set up sides not to lose. I wish him well, but just don't feel that Guiseley fans will ever see the best of Southwell.

But why Guisley anyway, surely he could have gone to another club in a better league position than them.
It all seems a little strange, unless they paid a bucket full of money for him.

They would work well together, Thompson making the opportunities and Dayle sticking them away, as he is a much better finisher than Thompson.

A quality player having to ply is trade in non-league football. Shows how tough it is at EFL level.

Dayle is a full time professional now and will try to keep with a full-time club which we are not.

Since Oct 2017 Guiseley AFC have been in a transitional stage of becoming full-time.  Some players have already signed full-time and the rest will have to become full-time soon or find another club.
