Shaw Lane v Mansfield Town FA Cup 1st Round
« on: November 06, 2017, 01:04:26 PM »
Watching the above BUFC 'reunion' on TV on Saturday lunchtime, it was interesting to hear of the various back stories of the managers and players before and throughout the commentary of the match.

Despite, though, one of the pundits being Neil Redfearn, Shaw Lane having David Norris and Nicky Walker in their team and Mansfield having Conrad Logan in goal and, of course, having Steve Evans & Paul Raynor in the dugout, there wasn't a single mention of Boston United!!

(edit : not until the final whistle anyway - I left the broadcast then).

We get a mention, though, in David Norris' interview with the Yorkshire Post

Don't forget Lee "The Flying Mullet" Taylor is Mansfield Town's Fitness Coach! What a character - although the famous mullet seems to have disappeared!
Alan Partridge: "I bet I've got more friends than you've got cows. How many cows have you got?"
Farmer: "I've got 100 cows."
AP: "Well, I've got 104 friends!"
