Would you welcome Dennis Greene back?
« on: October 29, 2017, 01:53:55 PM »
Simple question, if DG was offered the job back would you think it is the right move?

I will start it off, I will say NO.  He had his chance and left us in a very bad state.

New blood please.
The older I get, the earlier it gets late

It's a big fat chubby yes from me.
There is no one else with his experience and ability to choose from, and he will slot straight back in.
He pulled us out of the crap once before and could do it again.

Big fat No!
Why is there no one else?

He also left us in a mess.
He spilt the fans.
His arrogance at times was sickening.
Lets have someone new.

Not a chance, the man is an arrogant deluded clown. He left us in a absolute mess last season, over stepped the mark with the fans and even threatening  some in the process. How any one could accept him back is beyond on me, stop living in the past he was sacked for a reason.

How he never got the previous seasons squad promoted shows the ability of his tactical knowledge and managerial ability. Also theres a reason why he is still unemployed even though he has applied and failed to get numerous jobs since then.

Yes.  He knows the league, had a good record at BUFC and we know his faults. Surely in our position it is "better the devil we know".

Not for me. He had a go, got us close but not quite. And the league was a bit easier back then despite the extra playoff spots now.
Time to look to the future

Green eliminated ,   although records show he is the most successful manager in recent years it would create too much hassle .

Another nice guy like Adam ?      how many make successful managers ?    not many .

Unless the club have successfully headhunted a target then we will be restricted to the open market i.e
out of work sacked managers or retired players looking for a go at management .   Maybe DN has one of the latter lined up .

No, we need someone new. A year ago, DG's team and tactics was the catalyst for the rubbish we currently have. He wasn't good enough a year ago, so why would he be good enough now? He hasn't suddenly become a good manager, as he's not had a job in football since his sacking last autumn. Back to the Future was a great film, but would be a poor decision in football, so with a lack of plutonium to fire his Delorean, DG should be left behind in 2016.

He who would valiant be , 'gainst all disaster.
Let him in constancy follow the master.
There's no discouragement shall make him once relent

As much as I liked Greene's teams and the style of play I would have to say that to save all the negativity starting over again and the anti Greene brigade to start abusing fellow fans because of opposing views then it has to be a no. Time to save our club, not self destruct from the core.

No. He had a relatively successful period with us previously, but ultimately seemed to have run out of ideas by the end. And besides, managers returning rarely seem to be as successful second time around.

At this club we have a habit of looking to the past, whether it be former players or managers. I’d like to see us show a bit more imagination. I’m sure there are plenty of eligible candidates.

No.
I create YouTube videos (BUFC/FM/CM 01-02), and stream Football Manager on Twitch as BostonUnitedFM.
