Rem the 4Q tie v Grantham 1968 ? at York st .
Their keeper flapped around under those dodgy York St end lights but they got a draw .
Then they won the replay 2-1 .
Did anyone get to their old London Rd ground ?

Yes Ted numerous times .  Went to see the replay of above match , on a Mon afternoon no floodlights at Grantham in those days .  Main points I remember,  we lost 2-1 ,  John Lakin got sent off (or would it be Billy Howells) ,  Brian Clifton missed a penalty for us shooting uphill (don't make pitches like that any more  .  Ernie Nixon if I remember rightly got the equalising goal at Boston and Don Donavans boot in his b******s in the replay .
Above from memory , pleased to know of any errors .

PS .  Would a 2.00 replay Monday afternoon be a more convenient KO time for you chubby ?
Yes it would GHM even a 6pm would be great, I have never understood why we have 7.45 kick offs, we are not on the TV.
Let's face it, it will be a long night if it goes to extra time and penalty's.
Probably nearly 11pm before it's over.

My first reaction was to tell you to join us in the pensions club ,  but Oxo is a member and he can't make it  .  We used to have a vicar on Patter , he seemed able to get to matches any time of the day except on a Sunday ,  any vacancies in that profession ?

Watched highlights as didn't go,
Amazed at that sending off,
Clifton clearly wins the ball, so shouldn't of been a free kick.
Chorley players surround referee baying for blood, their no9 then grabs Yeoman by the throat (also in Kens pictures) realises linesman is rushing over so takes 2 steps back and falls down clutching his face. Cheat.

Highlights really do show how teams con these poor referees into decisions.

Roll on Tuesday night, hope no frost is predicted 😁 I've managed to accomadate game around work.

Yes it was never a sending off or foul, Boston would have a good case for an appeal, but apparently they cost to much.
So probably won't happen, and I wouldn't think the FA would punish the Chorley player for cheating.
One thing's for sure he won't make it as a boxer, going down so easy.

What time is the draw and is it streamed live somewhere?
The older I get, the earlier it gets late

7pm, and it's on BBC 2 and BT Sports. BT Sports normally stream draws on Periscope, a live video website/app - https://www.pscp.tv/btsportfootball

Marcus Carver was the player who disgracefully went down.
Im sure York Street will give him a warm welcome.

Keith would only be 12 years old in 1968 .

Seems Jan was unlucky ,   on the positive side the rejected penalty did not lose us the match and we have the opportunity bring justice Tues night .
On balance I think we may have gained so far with poor refs in the cup ,  probably we would not have been at Chorley Saturday if the one at YS street had spotted the blatant hand ball against Haughmond , swings and roundabouts .!!

I am sure they will, pity I am not there to politely tell him that he is a cheat.

I would guess attendance would be around 850 if there were no reduced prices.

So financially for the club approximately a gate of 850 at normal prices (£13) would be around the same income as 1150 at these reduced prices (£10).

Will be interesting to see what the attendance is.
