You can question their choice of manager, but their commitment is not in doubt.
the chestnuts must be gutted with the way this season is going! You can imagine the way AM initially sold his long term vision for BUFC to them. They must have hoped his "project" would lead us successfully into the new ground. They allowed him a free hand in making all the logistical & technological changes he asked for & backed him with a competitive playing budget.
Ferriby's draw with fc Utd today spared us from the bottom 3. However, have a look at our fixtures up to xmas as the chestnuts will be; and like us they will be wondering where the next points are coming from? Results have been awful, 1 point on the road, performances have been abject. Long ball trash etc, etc & conceding 2 goals a game. At this stage last season we had 3 more points than now.
Does David Newton stick or twist? The BUFC project must seem like a bad dream now. Like the rest of us he must be doubting AM can turn this round - there is just no evidence of it on the pitch. It's not like we've been playing good football & been unlucky, it's just woeful to watch. We had a managerial change a month or so further on last season & stayed up with a few games to spare. This league is a much tougher proposition this season & the fight for the 7 play off places will increase the pressure on the bottom 5 or 6 fighting to escape the drop.
