I presume those players with the least amount of movement covered during 90 minutes are guaranteed a place in the next match.

I assume they are used for average positions - so you can see if the centre backs are working as a pair, or if one is dropping deeper, or if strikers are working the channels or staying central, etc.

To be fair from what I've seen of our centre backs this year the only time you need GPS is to get the bus to the ground before you drive it between them
