Left Alty I see. Proven goalscorer, 31, based in Doncaster apparently so relatively close.

Worth a punt?

Regular on the bench this season in a team that finished bottom. Goals in the past, but his best days are behind him. I could see another situation where reputation just didn't live up to performance.

You are right there, echoes the whole St Juste nightmare, where fans constantly called for him to be signed, then when he did sign, the best days were behind him and he flopped.

I thinkhe's a decent shout... even to get him in for training/pre-season. You can't sign all young players. He is proven at this level, and could be an asset.

In that case maybe Sunderland would have stayed up if they'd signed Reeves and Watmore together.

He'd be alright playing next to Gregg, creating the space for Reeves to knock them in

just about anybody would he alright playing next to Gregg. Unless your name's maybe Fairhurst or Colley! There has to be exceptions to every situation!
