Didn't Marshall pick up an injury in the season we missed out on the play offs under DG, I remember thinking if he had been fit all season we probably would have made them.
I liked him also and thought he would progress to a higher level.
To be honest I would give him a chance in this team alongside Chapman, Connor the ball winner and Adam the ball player.
he had a nasty flash of heads with another of our players, Junior Konadu, I think. Seem to remember a fractured cheek or eye socket.
You've got it spot on there TTT, i remember it well. Seen it so many times, player get's a nasty injury then struggles to get back into the team.

Went for a job interview in Leicester and one of the interviewers was Jamie Clarke. Talked football the whole time and got the job. He played under Hurst and Scott of course. Coincidentally he had been speaking to Jeff Lissaman that morning about buying sportswear.I too have contacted Jeff in the past for the same reason
Both said they remember the "Spayne" side being quite vociferous but not always too friendly. Nothing changes then!

Could teach our present manager a thing or two about organising a defence .

Joined by a clapped out striker ,  the best midfielder in CN and another midfielder bursting with energy he has built up sitting in a dugout

oh dear, if I remember his pilgrims career correctly his record reads red cards 2 goals 1. That's another striker Adam can cross off his list for now.

His career with us was only brief, but during that short spell he did show some ability albeit focused on his physical style of play. Which as we know got the referees attention every time. As with many players, if the temperament can be curbed it eases the road to progression. But if it can't, it soon leads to being released and dropping down the divisions as other managers won't want to take the risk. I wouldn't say he was a bad player, but at the moment he is playing at the level suitable to his capabilities.  Another player from the same Boston era I saw potential in was  Indy Aujla, whatever happened to him ?
