Colley and Chippendale, no offense to Mr Fairhurst, but on the bench is good enough

Rather a lack of talent up front .
Hilliard has good positioning and placement .
Hope Clarke stands up to 90 mins further back .

Don't be surprised if we see a forward signed or on loan before kick off on Saturday.

I think we have to give Fairhurst 1 game to show what he can do, and I'd start Chippendale instead of Hilliard.

I  think after having seen Fairhurst a few times and leaving him on the bench in preference to Colley shows AM does not rate Fairhurst .   If he does not get a start on Saturday I think we can wave goodbye to him .

in a change to my original opinion, I can't see the point in making more than a 1/1 swap up front. The system and personnel that AM has chosen has rewarded us with 8 points from 12, so making wholesale change due to 1 injury may be unwise. So, if the system were to remain the same, the "battering ram" in the #10 shirt has to be the only swap. Last season, the nod would have gone to Scotty Garner, so why not do something similar, at least until half-time and then go to Colley/Fairhurst/Chippendale, etc. Who, then would I throw up top to knock people about? We've a player in the ranks who has played there, and he is of bulkier build, and he needs to prove something in my opinion, so here's his chance......Nat Brown. Not the ideal choice, perhaps, but if a loanee doesn't appear, then his inclusion, if fit, would mean the rest of the front line and midfield could all play the successful roles they've filled over the Christmas period.

Good choice TTT, I think that is a possibility, we used to put Paul Ellender up front back in time when he was playing for us, and he scored a few goals as I recall.

Interesting debate. What do people think about trying Marshall up front? With Colley?
Rollins playing off both of them.
A moaney clapper!......... best of both worlds

that would be my second half choice if my above suggestion didn't work. Rollins left, Colley central, Marshall right. 3up, narrow midfield behind them.

indeed, and for one season only, the animal called Martin Filson scared the crap out of opposition defences when required.

Looking around and about at possible replacements, i don't know how feasible it would be, but Mark Jones has scored 30+ goals this season.....?

Jones would be a good replacement, but he would probably be on more money were he is,that we could offer him.
He has though always put a good shift in for us, was in Mr Southwell's shadow when he was here, maybe he could return and be the man in the spotlight this time round.

Friends that i have at Spalding have been giving rave reviews of Bradley Wells, think he was ex Stamford also. Jona will always be a player who i respect, plays with pride and passion.
