My last game for a few weeks so a big thank you to the lads for an excellent win to send me happily on my way. Good luck to Smithy hope your back soon mate 8 weeks much better than feared. Liked the look of the new young lad from Telford very good on the ball. I don't want anyone at York reading this but young Josh Robinson was my MOM again winning everything the air and the winning header was sublime, this lad has such a great future in front of him would be wonderful if we could keep him.

Very good win and apparently 320 of you guys travelled to the Trinity today, well done to you all,I heard the cheer on the radio report when Robinson scored awesome sound, wish I could have been there.
Poor old Greg,I wish him a speedy recovery, I bet the trinity keeper wasn't laughing when he had to pick the ball out of his net in 90th minute.
I would think that eased gregs pain a little,he who laughs first laughs last.

I thought the handball for the penalty was quite clearcut, to the point when the ref didn't seem to have given it (he first pointed at the site of the foul not the penalty spot) my immediate reaction was we got away with one there.

Well done to Calum Chippendale - not just taking the free kick for the winner, but winning the free kick in the first place - its much easier to give one away down by the corner flag.

I know it says 8 weeks on his twitter but I'd be surprised if Gregg Smith was back playing in 8 weeks, training maybe not playing in a full blooded game. But here's hoping...

Apparently it takes about 8 weeks for a fracture to heal, but it will take several months to regain full use and range of motion of the joint, so he will probably be out for the rest of the season. :(

Apparently there's also ligament damage and other soft-tissue injuries that can only be assessed once the cast is off, so it'll be longer than eight weeks. Ugh. What a blow. Get well soon Smithy - don't rush yourself back for this season though! Would much rather have you back even stronger for August (good God that sounds like a long way away...)

It is the end of any play off hopes with Gregg Smith's injury. However, I believe we are no longer in danger of relegation. Just need to see out this campaign and re-start next season as serious promotion candidates with a brilliant young manager.

Yeah Ken and Pete, having looked at the photo of Gregg's damaged ankle I couldn't see how he would not have injured his ligaments - which tend to take a lot longer than eight weeks to be strong enough to play competitive football

Maybe the manager can get a more than capable replacement in. Interesting that you are calling Murray 'brilliant' already. Greene collected more points from his first four games so I will reserve judgement, despite an encouraging start.

I've just watched a highlights video which Gainsborough have uploaded and spotted something which I didn't see at the game. When we scored obviously a few of our supporters ran onto the pitch and one of them ran across the pitch to join our players. I'm not going to condone the pitch invasion , but if you watch the video closely the Gainsborough number 4 appears to throw a punch at our spectator. Not sure how much contact was made, but with the video evidence should the number 4 face retrospective action for violent conduct?

I know players in the past have been sanctioned for violent conduct against streakers, etc.and didn't Eden Hazard get done for similar for kicking the ball boy?

had the ref seen it, would it have warranted a red card for violent conduct?

With a probable 'careful' owner and manager I think its steady as you go till season end .
So maybe no Southwell class forward will be unearthed ..
And on present budget unlikely to be marked promotion hopefuls for 2017/2018 .

I've seen the video over and over, and it look's more like he was trying to stop the idiot running towards the players by putting his arm out, there doesn't seem to be any clenched fist.   Personally, i am more concerned about the idiots that run on the pitch, who then get no sanction. The laws are there to protect the players and officials, and while we all want to join in with the celebrations, do it from the terraces such as so many did in this clip. All it will do is give the club a bad name for pitch invaders, and our fans will be scrutinized more due to the acts of a few.

I've seen a few lads run onto the pitch and they need to be very careful, especially those with careers that take a dim view of criminal records.

The offender was escorted off the pitch, and presumably will face a similar punishment to the same offence earlier in the season (at Darlington).
