Bunny won't take it! He can see what a shambles DG has bought to the club! Shame others can't!
you're right KON, it is a shambles that we have been left with. I don't envy whoever is given the job, they've a hell of a lot of work to do to steady the ship, which has to be done before we're all arguing on here about why we are in a real relegation scrap. Defensively we are dreadful, and have been all season, but there's not been any protection for them in a holding player in midfield, so once our sparse attacks break down, we've regularly had 4, 5 and even 6 opposition running at our very flat back four. Whoever's been between the sticks has been on a hiding to nothing. We've got 3 shining lights this year, Smithy and Jay are forming a good understanding, and Marshall seems equally as good wherever he plays. Big downer for me has been Agnew's injury at the hands of Scotty Garner. Liam was making things happen around and in front of him, but that's football, eh? Beyond that, there hasn't been much to be positive over. The bottom line here is the shambles won't go away overnight. We're not suddenly going to become a winning team just because the manager is changing. But we have to scrap for results. Given that Dennis' parting gift was the 9-2 defeat, I'll take an away point yesterday as a stepping stone towards an upturn in form. But, message to GHM, the "blame" for the poor players we have didn't leave by mutual consent, just the man responsible for it. These are his men, and, with apologies to disagree again, these men are without exception, the ones Dennis brought to this club. They are his team, not the next managers, and so the legacy of this sub-standard squad will continue. Issues don't go away because the personnel changes.
