Seems to me that social media has a lot to blame.

Years ago when the manager left the ground no one could make any remarks.  The manager was unaware in a lot of cases of how well or not he was doing.

Except in one instance I recall.  In the early 70's my mate was Jim Smith's milkman.  He was not happy with our left winger and left a note in Jim's milk bottle " We need a new winger " stated the note.

The next day my mate found a reply " We need a new milkman, I am going to the co op "  And he did. :D :D
The older I get, the earlier it gets late

Maybe not whiter than white but a tough goalscoring midfield player manager, of the type that is not around any more .
     I lament ..

Player-Managers are frowned on now-a-days, but for the life of me I can't understand why, what better way to see how your team is playing and telling them what you want, without having to bawl at them across the pitch.

Good luck to the lads today.

Win your individual battles. win every 1st & 2nd ball.
Feed the Wingers/fullbacks to speed down the flanks whipping some crosses onto Smiths head, volley Smiths knock downs into the back of the net.
Pass & move into space, giving your teammate on the ball options.
Mark tightly and dont allow them space to cross/shoot, defend as a team.
Get stuck in, dont allow them time & space on the ball.

We can still shoot up this league and win the FA trophy (or have i been playing too much football manager?)

Boston started well but then Stalybridge got back into the game. Boston have had the better chances though. Stalybridge definitely there for the beating. If we lose to this lot then were going down. Still got the crap toilets here.

The new manager(s) must conspire to get an ultra tight defence .
Look at top of Conference Nat and North .
