19 year old striker signed on loan until January from Doncaster.  Presumably Cavell's influence.

Joe's made 1 sub app for Doncaster this year, and been on loan until a couple of weeks ago at Hyde in the NPL division 1 north, starting 6 games plus 3 as sub, scoring twice and having been sent off away at Ossett for slapping an opponent in reaction to a challenge(Hyde FC report).
He who would valiant be , 'gainst all disaster.
Let him in constancy follow the master.
There's no discouragement shall make him once relent
His first avowed intent, to be a Pilgrim.

Sounds a good signing! But I think DG should be looking at our defence as well?

"Although this new signing is of a striker, it doesn't mean we are not looking to strengthen our midfield and defence, because we are hoping to add a couple more. It's just the order that we get the deals done.

"I am hopeful that Joseph and another one or two which we are working on at the moment will be done in time for the trip to Witton Albion. If the deals are completed they will all be involved on Saturday."

If he's been on loan at Hyde for the early part of the season, is he cup-tied as far as the FA Trophy is concerned? Had a look on Hyde's website - they went out a few weeks ago against Colwyn Bay. But there's no line-ups listed so no idea if he played. Doncaster don't play in that competition though, so presumably they wouldn't have blocked him from appearing.

2 new defenders today. Happy now?

Is there a limit on the number of loan players we can field? I think it used to be a maximum of 5 but not sure if that has been changed or applies.

Farmer: "I've got 100 cows."
AP: "Well, I've got 104 friends!"
