Don't get many nil nils at Boston. Two averagishly poorish teams on display. Not impressed with Fairhurst or Colley today. Unsure how Smith got MOM - thought the keeper or the Boston number 6 were more deserving.

Agreed...
Bit more clinical in front of goal we could have had a couple...but it didnt happen..
Listening to DG post match interview and he starts reeling off players names who were out....one or two I had forgotten about!
Grant Roberts
Herve Pepe Ngoma
Wildin
These would probably have been first choices had they been available....
DG also mentioned "some guy behind him" telling him to sort it out.....if or when DG's tenure does end will this guy be applying for the job??

2 poor teams who lacked any quality up top. Good job Lee Hughes isn't that good nowadays, should've had a couple. How did Jay blaze that over in the 2nd half.....
Turgid stuff that in front of a higher than expected crowd

if you deduct each matches away fans, it was the second best home turnout this season. Shame the game was average, however, a positive clean sheet in my book. At least we didn't give away a soft goal. We are slowly starting to look less like conceding, which can only be a good thing. Shame to see yet another bad injury, though. He may not be an automatic first pick, but in a season thwart with injuries, we need players like Joe who can slot into different roles.

Was it me or did the crowd look a lot smaller than the official gate?

Plenty of space near me, and a lot of familiar faces missing.

Or is it just me being nearly 200 out on the prediction ;)

there were definitely only 22 away fans, we counted them!

I nearly logged onto to Patter at the match to lower my attendance prediction from the high 900's because the crowd looked so sparce.

Must have been a fix because Dennis (or his other half)  won an attendance competition and scooped the £30+ prize!

All of the other away fans followed the signs marked "stadium" and spent the afternoon wandering around a building site. Still, they saw the same number of goals as we did.

Having just read Mr Grumpy to my grandson it,s time to get back to BUFC business .

Amazingly no  Mr Grumpy,s on Patter !!!! , and can see only one stalwart grumpy on Facebook !!!.

Is this the problem ?
                                    P  W   D    L   F     A     POINTS
                                    5   3    2    0   6     3         11            Is  our record over the last 5 games .  (6/7 players unavailable in all these games .)

 3 clean sheets in 5 games .

Only AFC Fylde in the top half of the league have a better point tally over the 5 games .

Good luck to Joe Burgess .

Decent points return over last 5 games no doubt but 3 wins against teams in the bottom 6, I think the next 6 games will shape our season with tough games to come.

Reckon we just need two decent centre halves and also a nippy striker to feed off Gregg Smith and that will do. Otherwise if we carry on like we are then it's not going to get any better for us.

Could look less depending on how many season ticket holders are in the ground as the count starts after there counted for as they have already paid.

As a example.
you sell 420 ST but only 150 turned up on the day.

Attendance is a 1000 but taking away 270 means only 730 in the ground

Looked about 1000 but hey ho. I went to Chorley and they gave it at a lick over 1000 when it looked like and sounded like about 800.
Still, good to have over 1000 home fans in, makes a rare change
