Our averages since slipping out of the football league are also around this average mark. While we all want to see 1,400 consistently, we must not kid ourselves that we are much better than 1,100.  That still makes us a very good supported non league side, and we should be thankful for all of those who consistently turn up.  If we had a cash injection of those such as Fylde, Salford etc then we too would also see the bandwaggon jumpers come on board for the short term.

Gonna be tough to overhaul Fylde (Lancashire club and bankrolled and have bandwagon fans), Salford (same reason) and the other Lancashire clubs like Chorley, Alty especially who have lots of local derbies to boost their numbers.
Darlington, Halifax and Kidderminster dropping down have all got higher than us (partly because they're doing well and except Darlo, all have a few local games for big crowds)

Take out the away followings and we average less than 1000 home fans which is a concern.... but the 3 midweek games in front of <1000, we've won!

Just on Fylde, probably a decent chance their manager could go to Tranmere.

But really given the money they can spend, anyone could win the league with their squad. I still regard Challinor as a bit of a failure there for failing to go up in 2 seasons. Last year was a killer. Solihull weren't mega and should've been beaten, then losing at Ferriby after being ahead.....
