Looks like we've signed Jordan Blinco from Sunderland for a month (a left winger). Not too sure why though? As we have Robbins, Nicky Walker and Simmons who can play left wing?

Certainly is. Not come across the name before, although he will be the the 3rd Jordan to wear the shirt this season.

A bit of googling reveals the origins of the name Blinco.

https://www.surnamedb.com/Surname/Blinco

"This unusual surname appears to be continential but is in fact of combined ancient Celtic and Old Norse origin, and a locational name from a place west of Penrith in Cumberland called Blencow. Recorded as "Blenco" in the 1232 Pipe Rolls of that county, and as "Blenkhaw" in the "Inquisitiones post mortem", dated 1254, the first element of the placename is believed to be the Old Welsh "blaen", top, with the Old Norse "haugr", hill."

Which ties up quite well with his birthplace being Durham.

That's right, but they're both not fully fit at the moment. But as i said we have a lot more than them anyway.

Thought he played well today, offered an outlet in most attacks

Blinco has now joined Spennymoor on a loan deal. Surprised he's gone to a lower level as thought he was reasonably well equipped for Conference North football ...
