Nationalities of Boston United players
« on: January 08, 2016, 06:43:14 PM »

I believe Fabian Spiess will be the first German to the club, following hot on the heels of a Polish and then a Slovakian keeper. This has got me thinking ... I wonder how many different nationalities have played for the club down the years? Brainstorm it, anyone?

I'll start the ball rolling:

Germany - Fabian Spiess
Poland - Max Stryjek
Slovakia - Henrich Ravas
Spain - Mikel Suarez

Tyrone Kirk was famously listed on Wikipedia as from the Moon - or at least played for the satellite!
Alan Partridge: "I bet I've got more friends than you've got cows. How many cows have you got?"
Farmer: "I've got 100 cows."
AP: "Well, I've got 104 friends!"

He's not the first player from Germany.
Wembley right back Paul Casey was born in Rinteln, Germany on 6th Oct 1961.

Daryl Clare, Jersey
Also played for Ireland at U21 & B Level

Dany N'Guessan - France
Eric Sabin - French born Martinique International
Conrad Logan - Ireland
Stefan Galinski - Poland
Trevor Benjamin - Jamaica
Paddy mcCarthy - Ireland

I recall Tommy Taylor signed two Norwegian teenagers but I don't think either of them played for the first team.
